O’Donnell Solicitors is proud to announce that the firm’s Head of Dispute Resolution, Richard Michael Dobson-Mason, has been appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-Tier Tribunal – Property Chamber.
Richard has been deployed to the Northern Region and will be based in Manchester.
This prestigious appointment further recognises Richard’s exceptional expertise, ability to navigate complex legal issues, and experience.
The role will involve presiding over disputes relating to property and land, including residential property disputes, land registration, valuation, and agricultural and drainage matters.
The application process for the role was rigorous and demanding and spanned a period of 15 months, involving a competency-based written application and references, a number of online tests, an interview and a mock hearing. There were 150 vacancies across all seven First-tier Tribunals throughout the country, and a total of 2,147 applicants.
Whilst sitting part-time, Richard will continue to play a key role as one of the firm’s Directors and Head of the Dispute Resolution department.
