A chilly Autumnal morning set the scene for Mummy’s Star Charity Run. Yesterday morning, Director and Solicitor, James O’Donnell met with other runners at Churchill Playing Fields, Greenfield to run with other runners including club running friends from Mossley AFC Running Club to raise money, and support for ‘Mummy’s Star’ Charity. Mummy’s Star is the only charity in the UK that is dedicated to women and their families affected by cancer during pregnancy.
There was a big turnout at the event which started and finished at Churchill Playing Fields in Greenfield on the chilly autumnal morning. Runners of all abilities ran different routes to raise awareness for this magnificent cause. James ran an 11-mile course in preparation for the Manchester Half Marathon on the 16th of October. As well as running, the runners and other supporters released sixteen balloons in support of sixteen mums who have unfortunately lost their battle with cancer after giving birth to their beautiful children.
James O’Donnell was delighted to be able to support the event with fellow Mossley AFC Running Club members to raise money and awareness for this wonderful charity.
