O’Donnell Solicitors is leading the way in compliance after Rebecca O’Donnell, the firm’s Head of Practice Development, passed the Risk and Compliance Advanced Accreditation Exam from the Law Society. Rebecca took and passed the examination on its first release date, placing them ahead of many other firms in the country.
The Risk and Compliance Advanced (Legal Practice) Accreditation is a quality standard for managing risk and compliance in a legal practice and goes a long way to showing a firm’s commitment to its smooth and effective operation. The Accreditation is an independent objective mark for those who are able to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and competency in the field of legal risk management, compliance and AML. Covering topics including Data protection, Fraud and bribery and Cybercrime, the Accreditation is an advanced-level examination targeted at those who are have expertise in Legal Practice Management.

Having founded the firm in 2016 with James O’Donnell and worked as its head of Private Client, Rebecca O’Donnell took a step into full-time practice management earlier this year due to the fast-growing nature of the firm. Jill Waddington, who joined the firm in 2021, was appointed as a Director and now runs the firm’s Private Client team.
2022 has also seen the firm launch its flagship head office on Uppermill High Street. With a further office in Uppermill and a commercial law office in Grasscroft, the firm bring city-centre legal expertise to the local community.
