James and Rebecca are delighted that O’Donnell Solicitors have been chosen as the sponsor of the 2016 Mossley 10k run on Sunday, 17th July.
The annual event has grown increasingly since the inaugural event two years ago. James, who captained the Mossley AFC Junior team throughout his youth, has long-standing connections to the Club. His Grandfather Les Fitton played for the Club in the 1940s and has been Club Secretary for several years throughout the recent past. James and Rebecca are proud that they can continue to support the Club through the medium of O’Donnell Solicitors, and James will be trying to beat last year’s respectable time of 57 Minutes.
Once again, this year’s race will see participants take an undulating but scenic route through Upper Mossley, down to and through Lower Mossley and Greenfield, starting and finishing at the club’s ground, at Seel Park.
The run takes its competitors through some of the finest countrysides on this side of the Pennines. It encompasses stunning views of the countryside around Mossley and Saddleworth. The race attracts a variety of both experienced runners and beginners and is the perfect distance for anyone looking to get fit! Last year saw 281 competitors, and this year more are expected.
O’Donnell Solicitors are also proud sponsors of the Mossley AFC Running Club. The running club already has 80 members and meets on a Sunday morning at 9.30 am at the Club’s ground, Seel Park. All runners of all abilities are most welcome.
