This role will suit an experienced legal cashier looking to move to a busy practice and progress their career further.

Job Type: Permanent, Full time
Location: Uppermill, Saddleworth (although you may also be required to work from our Grasscroft office from time to time)
Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience
Reports to: Director Rebecca O’Donnell and Head of Accounts Catherine Lees
Job Purpose: To assist the busy accounts department

Award winning firm seeking an assistant legal cashier on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
1. To assist the accounts department with posting client and office payments and receipts, reconciliations
2. To assist in posting payments on the case management system and on Bankline
3. To assist in preparing management reports and information through use of the case management system
4. To assist with archiving and storage of client’s confidential information and documents
5. To assist in recovery of the firms’ unpaid bills and liaising with fee earners to recoup aged debts

Person specification essential skills and qualifications
• Strong academic record.
• Experience and a working knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
• The ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Excellent organisation, presentation and communication skills.

• Be reliable and diligent with good attention to detail.
• Self-motivation to work independently and as part of a team with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• A positive approach to working under pressure in a busy environment.
• A full driving licence
