Giselle Williams, Head of our Dispute Resolution Team, is on the executive board of Manchester Jewish Community Care and has been for some years. One of the initiatives is the running of the Nicky Alliance Day Centre; a day centre for older people where they spend the day doing activities, socialising and are given a hot meal. The charity also runs a ‘meals on wheels’ service and talking newspaper, as well as a bathing service.
On the 5 and 6 July the charity held a crowd funding event and raised £500,000 in 36 hours. The actual figure raised was £508,625…and the donations keep on coming!
It is only through people’s generosity that he charity has been able to continue to provide its services to the local community. Congratulations to Giselle and all of those involved in this fantastic and worthwhile campaign. To find out more or if you wish to donate, please follow this link.
