With Tier 3 restrictions in place this year, the upcoming festive period will for many of us, prove to be a very different type of affair. 2020 has undoubtedly been unique in its challenges. It has also tested the versatility and resilience of all of us.
As we reflect on the previous 10 months we could not have succeeded without the strength and determination of our formidable team of lawyers and support staff. Their fortitude, commitment and resilience has been remarkable. As a result, we can reflect on a tough year with pride but also with thanks and gratefulness. With the appointment of the firms fifth Director in our firm’s Family Department, new head of department in Dispute Resolution and a new trainee Solicitor for commercial and corporate, a Legal Executive appointment for the conveyancing team together with several new support staff appointments, we have been able to weather the storm and look to the future with eager anticipation. We don’t take this for granted however! This is not only down to the hard work, determination and excellence of the people here at O’Donnell Solicitors, but to the loyalty and continued growth of the firm’s client base for whom we are extremely grateful and humbled.
Taking whatever positives we can from a challenging year, it is also important to stop, reflect and remember and be thankful for how we got here, to remember what is right in our lives and remember that for most of us our current challenges will come to pass. We hope that with this you can resonate throughout a period which, for most of us, may prove to be a more poignant time for reflection than ever before. Whatever your circumstances we hope that you have a Christmas filled with joy, which is peaceful and happy and that you are able to take comfort in that for which you can be grateful for and in what really matters. We feel hopeful, and venture to say confident, of a better 2021 for all of us and look forward to meeting with you all again, perhaps without masks or glass screens, in the New Year. In the words of A Christmas Carol’s Tiny Tim: “A Merry Christmas to us all; God bless us, every one!”
