On Sunday 17th July 2016, O’Donnell Solicitors proudly sponsored the Mossley 10k.
This year was the third consecutive year that Mossley AFC Football Club have hosted the event and over 350 runners lined up at the starting line to run the 10 kilometres through Mossley and Greenfield. The race started and finished at Mossley AFC’s Seel Park ground and saw the community come together. Over 30 volunteers ensured the safety of the runners throughout the race and many people came out to cheer the runners on as they ran by.
James O’Donnell, Anthony Jones and Suzzanne Gardener of O’Donnell Solicitors were amongst the runners and completed the race within 7 minutes of each other in a respectable 59:02minutes, 52:45minutes and 57:40minutes.
James O’Donnell presented prizes to the winners of the race. Rob James finished the race in just 34:01minutes, followed by Paul Green and Tony Muir who finished in 35:05minutes and 36:49 minutes respectively.
A BBQ followed the race for members of the Mossley AFC Running Club. The BBQ saw local families come together to celebrate the runners’ achievements and enjoy good food and drinks together.
All proceeds from the race will go to Mossley AFC to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the ground.
O’Donnell Solicitors would like to thank all those involved in organising both the Mossley 10k run and the Mossley AFC Running Club BBQ for a great day and are looking forward to next year already!
